Author's Note: I'm really not sure what inspired this one, maybe it was "The Replacements"... I doubt it though and ... well just enjoy it. :)
Summary: It's Doggett's turn to choose a Super Buddies activity and the gang is set for a fun day in the rain and a long sleepover.

FADE IN:

EXT. HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FIELD - DAY
NOVEMBER 28

It's a cloudy, rainy day. The football field is covered with muddy puddles. Though it's late November, it's a rather warm day save for the cool breeze that comes with the rain shower.

ANGLE - DOGGETT

He's wearing his lime green Super Buddies T-shirt, it's soaking wet. He holds a football in his right hand, aiming to throw it across the field at Skinner, Mulder and Krycek. Scully and Marita are standing aside watching him.

DOGGETT
(yelling)
Go long!

He throws the ball and it spirals out across the field toward Skinner, Mulder and Krycek. They all start to run backward, attempting to catch it. Then, Mulder trips over his own feet and in doing so, causes Krycek to fall down onto the muddy ground with him, they scream as the SPLAT into the soggy mush of a ground. Skinner catches the ball, and proceeds to run to make a touchdown.

SKINNER
TOUCHDOWN!

Skinner throws the football to the ground and does a happy dance, Doggett, Scully and Marita run up to him, Scully is clapping.

SCULLY
(hugging Skinner)
That's my man!!!

SKINNER
(to Doggett/ out of breath)
Did I do it right, John?

Doggett nods his head "yes", muddy and wet Mulder and Krycek join them.

DOGGETT
(to Marita & Scully)
Now are you two sure you
want to play football in
this weather?

Scully and Marita check out the guys around them, they are all wearing their Super Buddies t-shirts and are soaking wet and just look to darn good to resist loving all of them... three cute guys, and wet weather... hmmmmm... and football...

SCULLY
(enthusiastic)
I'm in!

MARITA
(enthusiastic)
Me too!

Scully and Marita give each other high-fives and smile at each other. Doggett smiles at the two of them and puts his arms around both of their shoulders, they grin like a bunch of doofs.

DOGGETT
(to Mulder, Krycek & Skinner)
Us three against you three.

MULDER
Get ready to loose
(beat/thinks/gets excited)
DoggSculMars!!!

They give him a look, Krycek lightly smacks the side of Mulder's head.

KRYCEK
(serious smart-ass)
You don't have to name
our teams.

MARITA
Yes you do!

She smiles at her team, Scully and Doggett give her a look, wondering what in the world Marita has in mind for their team name.

MULDER
We're the uh... uh...
Alligators!!

MARITA
(sly/sassy)
We're the Terminators.

She smiles at Doggett, knowing he will lead them to victory. Mulder winces, hopefully team names don't foreshadow the winner of the game, as they take their opening positions, the rain pour harder...

As they play, we see shots of all six of them dog piling in a puddle of mud, Scully diving into another puddle trying to catch the ball but failing, Krycek kicking Mulder in the butt (instead of the ball), Skinner making a touchdown, Doggett running from one end of the field to the other to make a touchdown for his team (he runs far ahead of everyone), Scully handing the ball to Krycek (after he threatens her with a gun), Doggett helping Marita stand up after the football hit her on the side of her head, Marita running to make a touchdown only to be tackled by Krycek and kissed, Marita and Scully giving up and cheerleading for Doggett to their team's victory, they are dripping wet and very muddy.

Mulder and Krycek pout, how did they loose to two girls and Doggett?

SKINNER
(patting Doggett on the shoulder)
Good game man.

They all stand there, muddy and wet, Krycek looks at a mud puddle out in the field, he gets a stupid smile on his face, he's inspired to say something:

KRYCEK
(looking at Marita & Scully)
Anyone up for some
mud wrestling?

Off their looks and them shaking their heads "no":
CUT TO:

INT. DOGGETT'S HOUSE - NIGHT
LIVING ROOM

Everyone is in their pajamas, having washed up at Doggett's house from their muddy outing at the local high school football field. Doggett has gone all out for his Super Buddies Day, there's empty boxes of take-out Chinese food, some empty beer bottles, a bag of peanut M&Ms, the smell of popcorn fills the air. Leno is on the TV, cracking some joke about Clinton and Monica.

Scully is sitting on her knees on the floor, behind Marita, she's French braiding her hair. Mulder and Krycek are sitting up against the coffee table, a bowl of popcorn between them, they are calmly fighting tug-of-war-esque over the popcorn bowl. Skinner and Doggett are flipping through Doggett's "Marines" book, sharing stories about their time with the Marines, awww... a bonding moment.

SUDDENLY from the nice quiet talk, giggles erupt from Marita and Scully.

SCULLY
(giggling)
No! Marita!

Marita stands up and goes to the kitchen, and rummages through who knows what. A few moments later, after Scully has placed herself in between Mulder and Krycek, Marita returns from the kitchen holding an empty wine bottle from earlier in the evening.

MARITA
What sleepover would be a
sleepover without playing
Spin The Bottle?

Mulder and Krycek lean forward to look at each other, as Scully shoves a handful of popcorn into her mouth... their looks indicate the thought of "hmmmmm... only two possibilities..."

KRYCEK
(suggesting)
How about Strip Poker?

DOGGETT
I don't even want to know
what you did at sleepovers
as a kid.

Krycek gives him a snotty look, Doggett will pay for that one... in time...

SKINNER
Marita? How exactly will that
work? Four guys, two girls?

Marita looks thoughtful, he's got a point. She shrugs her shoulders.

SCULLY
How about Truth or Dare?

Everyone seems to agree, we can tell by the enthusiastic head nods, save for perhaps Skinner and Doggett, they are enjoying their time bonding.

TIME CUT:

1 A.M.

Everyone is sitting on the floor in Doggett's living room, a candle is lit in the middle of them, Marita has just taken a dare.

MULDER
(serious)
I dare you to... walk
around us two times, flapping
your arms like a duck, while
making chicken noises.

Marita reluctantly stands up and does so, at least Mulder is being decent with his dares. Marita sits down next to Doggett, and lightly punches him on the arm.

KRYCEK
I just got very turned on...

MARITA
(giddy for no good reason)
John? Truth or dare?

DOGGETT
Truth...

MARITA
If you could kiss either
Dana or I, right now, who
would you choose?

Krycek glares at Doggett, choosing for him, he's ready to pull out his gun... gee... what will Doggett say to save his own life?

DOGGETT
Dana...

Skinner's eyes go wide, it's awkward in the room for a moment. Scully blushes and lowers her head.

DOGGETT
(defensive)
What was I supposed to say?
Marita?

KRYCEK
(standing)
Ok buddy. That's it
don't you hit on my woman.
(he pulls out his gun)

MARITA
We're not a couple.

Krycek gets sad, there's another awkward silence. Doggett decides to continue this high-school-esque game.

DOGGETT
Mulder-

MULDER
(a bit too excited)
-TRUTH!

DOGGETT
Tell us the weirdest place
you've taken a girl on the
first date.

Mulder gets a thoughtful look on his face... he's thinking really hard.

SKINNER
(to Scully)
This ought to be interesting.

MULDER
(happy)
A toy store.

They give him an odd look and await his explanation of what happened there. He continues after a beat, Scully and Skinner share a look... they knew it would be stupid.

MULDER
Because I wanted to make
sure I got the rest of the
Beanie Baby toys to complete
my collection. We waited in line
for three hours. However, when I
don't remember her being there
when I finally got to the counter...

SCULLY
I can't believe you did that
to some poor soul.

MULDER
Dana! Truth or dare?

SCULLY
Truth...

MULDER
Tell us any big secret you
be hiding from us.

Scully shakes her head "no" she doesn't want to reveal any of her big, BIG secrets... hmmmm what to say...

SCULLY
Nothing life altering...

MARITA
But...?

Scully looks around the room at all the expectant faces, her gaze stops on Skinner... perfect!

SCULLY
Well...

MULDER
(giddy as a school boy)
Oh goodie a big secret!

SCULLY
Since last week-

MULDER
(laughing)
Yippy Skippy!

KRYCEK
(to Mulder)
Shut it!

SCULLY
Getting back on topic...

MULDER
(mad that she hasn't told)
Get on with it Scully!

EVERYONE
Shut up, Mulder.

SCULLY
Getting back on topic...
(glares at Mulder)
Since last week, Walter and I
have been going out... again.

KRYCEK
(disappointed/sarcastic)
Ooh... what a secret!
I could've guessed that!

SCULLY
Ok, hotshot! Truth or dare?

KRYCEK
(chickens out)
Dare.

SCULLY
I dare you to kiss Fox
on the lips for ten seconds.

Mulder covers his mouth in fear, and shakes his head "no", he looks as if he's about to cry.

KRYCEK
(uncomfortable)
Ok...

Krycek crawls over to Mulder, Doggett moves the candle out of the way of his shirt, so it doesn't catch fire. Krycek puckers up and closes his eyes ... as he makes his move for Mulder's lips, Mulder (out of complete fear and trying to protect himself), grabs Scully and holds her where his face was, just as Krycek's lips now meet hers. Marita covers her mouth to keep from laughing out loud, she sounds like a toy fire engine. Krycek can tell this isn't Mulder, he figures it's Marita and he tries to give her some tongue. Scully falls backward, trying to escape Krycek's mouth, she parts from him, he grins. Krycek opens his eyes to see who he was kissing... he sees Scully lying there, wiping her mouth. Mulder's head pops into view, with a dumb-ass look on it.

MULDER
I can't believe you were
gonna try to give me tongue!

KRYCEK
I knew it wasn't you!

MULDER
Then, I can't believe, after
all your "Rule Number One" talk
that you'd kiss Scully!

KRYCEK
I thought it was Marita!

MULDER
But it was Scully (chuckles)
goes to show how much action
you get out of Marita.

MARITA
(offended)
Excuse me? Just what exactly
are you implying?

Mulder says nothing... he's sorry he even brought it up.

KRYCEK
Who's left...?

He looks around the room and sees Skinner.

KRYCEK
Skin Man...

MULDER
(keeping with Super Buddy rules)
FIRST NAMES!

KRYCEK
(correcting himself)
Walter... truth or dare?

SKINNER
(not trusting Krycek)
Truth.

KRYCEK
(disappointed)
Oh man... fine. (beat)
What is your biggest fear?

SKINNER
(coughs)
Ahem... (quiet/muffled) the dark.

KRYCEK
Say what?

MARITA
What did he say?

MULDER
The bark?

Doggett rolls his eyes at their stupidity, he can't believe he decided to have them all over for the night.

DOGGETT
He said the dark.

Giggles erupt in the room, Marita falls to the ground holding her stomach, she's laughing so hard now it hurts, and she doesn't even know why it seems so funny now, especially since she knew this about Skinner.

SCULLY
(flirty with Skinner)
He's never scared when
I'm with him in the dark.

She playfully nudges Skinner, he gets a bit embarrassed.

MARITA
(laughing)
Gee don't we wonder why!

TIME CUT:

2:30 A.M.

ANGLE - TWISTER SPINNER

It spins to red.

SKINNER
Right hand on red.

ANGLE - EVERYONE ON TWISTER MAT

They are very tangled up, Mulder is weaved in between Marita and Scully, his tongue hangs out as he tries to move his left hand to a red dot, no one notices.

SCULLY
I think we have too many
people playing this...

DOGGETT
(well duh!)
Ya think?

Scully gives him a snotty look, he smiles back at her, he agrees with her point, SUDDENLY KRYCEK'S ELBOW POKES him in the middle of his back.

DOGGETT
Ow! Alex!

KRYCEK
(laughing)
Just trying to make you fall.
That's the point anyway.

There is a slight ripping noise... they all look around.

MULDER
Uh oh... was that my pants?

KRYCEK
CRAP! SKIN MAN! I think
the mat is tearing!

Skinner quickly spins the spinner again... he looks down at the Twister mat... indeed, it is tearing!

SKINNER
Left foot on blue.

Krycek starts to giggle... he's looking up Scully's untucked shirt.

KRYCEK
(loud)
Dude! Scully! Black bra!
I think she thinks she's
gettin' somethin' tonight!
(beat) You should have tucked
your shirt in...

Scully certainly can't turn around to glare at him or move to smack him... he deserves it.

SCULLY
(irritated)
Walter? Can you tuck my
shirt in so Krycek stops
looking at me.

Skinner sets down the spinner and goes to do as he was asked, he starts to tuck in Scully's shirt. Scully is tickled by this and starts laughing... one of those very Gillian Anderson-esque laughs. The others start laughing because her laugh is contagious.

DOGGETT
(laughing)
I've never heard such a laugh!

Mulder snort-laughs and that does them all in, the pile collapses, Scully on the bottom of them all.

MARITA
(sincerely upset)
Dana! You ruined the game...

It's hopeless, Scully can't stop laughing, even though everyone is piled on top of her.

TIME CUT:

3:15 A.M.

ANGLE - KRYCEK

Close up on his face, his hands are covering his eyes.

KRYCEK
(loud)
Three. Two. One.
Ready or not! Here I come!

He just stands there... this is his first time playing Hide N' Go Seek, not a game he grew up playing. All the lights are off. He listens carefully... maybe a noise will hint him to a direction... but nothing.

He wanders into the kitchen and turns on the lights. No one. He opens the refrigerator and takes out some food.

CUT TO:

UPSTAIRS - DOGGETT'S BEDROOM

Doggett, Scully, Skinner, Marita and Mulder are sitting under the covers in Doggett's bed, watching the second tape of "Titanic"... a movie that Scully found in Doggett's VCR. Mulder is holding tissues to his eyes, he's very involved.

MULDER
(crying/talking to TV)
Get back on the boat Rose...

SCULLY
(to everyone else)
So how long do you think it
will take him to find us?

MARITA
If he's smart and figures
out that we disobeyed his rules
any minute he could find us.

MULDER
(to TV/crying)
Jack! Bite it off with
your teeth man!

Everyone gives Mulder an annoyed look, he doesn't notice. A few minutes pass and they all watch "Titanic" wondering why Doggett even bothered to buy it in the first place... Doggett reaches over to the cooler they brought up with them and hands everyone a beer.

DOGGETT
You know Marita, it was a
smart idea to have Krycek count
down from 100 instead of 10...

MARITA
(drinking her beer)
Yep... he's so clueless...

SKINNER
Probably got lost counting backwards...

SCULLY
I can't believe he thought
that was normal.

MULDER
(bawling)
This movie is so sad!

Marita puts her arm around Mulder's shoulder to comfort him... he still cries and buries his face into her clean pajamas, dirtying them with his tears, she pats his head and shakes her head and lets out a small laugh. A few minutes pass and the alcohol begins to speak to them all...

DOGGETT
So, Walter? You and Dana, huh?

SKINNER
(he puts his arm around Scully)
Yeeeahh....

DOGGETT
What brought that on?

SKINNER
Well... we've been off and on
since I did some student teaching
during her Senior year in high school-

Doggett's eyes widen, how interesting!

DOGGETT
(flirty-ish)
Dana... you dated your teachers?

MULDER
(now distracted)
Skinner was the youngest of them all-

SCULLY
-Shut up, Mulder!

DOGGETT
(nosey/unapproving)
Does Deputy Director Kersh know?

SKINNER
No. And we'd like to keep
it a secret -

SCULLY
(huh?)
Really? I thought we agreed
to let it out.

Skinner ignores her and finishes off his can of beer.

DOGGETT
I don't know about you, but if
I had fallen in love with a woman
I work with, I wouldn't let anything
stand in my way...

MARITA
Awww... that's so cute...

SKINNER
(getting angry)
Well, Agent Doggett you're
not in that position now, are you?

DOGGETT
No sir, but it's of my belief
that if you can't be open and
truthful to everyone, maybe
it's not meant to be.

SKINNER
And what exactly is your
concern for Agent Scully?

Doggett doesn't answer, just finishes off his beer.

SCULLY
Come on guys... we're
supposed to be having fun.

MARITA
Yeah!

They hear the creaking of the stairs outside Doggett's bedroom door.

MULDER
(loud whisper)
Shhh! Alex is coming!

The bedroom door starts to creak open, Marita pulls the blankets over her head, everyone else quickly follows her. "Titanic" remains playing it's long end credits on the TV. Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" is all we hear now.

CELINE DION
Near... far... wherever
you are. I believe that my
heart will go on...

KRYCEK
(scared peeking in)
Guys... are you here?
I'm getting scared...
and now Celine Dion is
coming from the TV man...

He tiptoes into the room as Skinner pulls the blanket down and SCREAMS AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS, one would believe that Krycek just wet himself, based on the terrified look on his face, but from what? Skinner's scream or Celine Dion? Only Krycek knows.

MULDER
(laughing)
HA! HA!

TIME CUT:

4:37 A.M.

LIVING ROOM

Skinner and Mulder have fallen asleep on Doggett's couch, Mulder rests his head on Skinner's shoulders and smacks his lips, he's dreaming of lollipops.

On the ground, in front of the TV, watching "Terminator 2: Judgement Day", are Marita (randomly spinning an empty bottle), Krycek (trying to look cool, sprawled out on the floor), Scully is behind Doggett giving him a backrub.

KRYCEK
(watching movie)
Dude, his head just comes back together.

MARITA
(looking at Doggett)
He looks a lot like you, Doggett.

DOGGETT
So you think I can morph
into some liquid metal man?

Marita nods her head "yes".

KRYCEK
Man, that would make you
Tha Man! All the women would
want you!

Krycek twists his head over to grin at Marita, he winks at her.

MARITA
(hoping)
Anyone want to play Spin The
Bottle? I mean... it's even...
now that they fell asleep...

All four of them glance over at Skinner and Mulder... the cuddle bunch, as Mulder says:

MULDER
(still dreaming)
Lollipops...

Mulder starts to smack his lips again as drool falls out of his mouth and onto the Skin Man's shirt.

Krycek sits up... oh goodie! A chance at Marita! A chance to prove himself to her!

The four of them form a circle, Doggett is a bit reluctant but when he sees Marita's pathetic look and her cute pout, he gives in... it can't be too bad... Scully and Marita are cute.

KRYCEK
How about we make it more
interesting... if the bottle
points in between two people
instead of directly on a person
the spinner takes off one article
of clothing.

The alcohol is speaking to them all, they agree! Marita spins the bottle it lands on Scully.

DOGGETT
So what happens when
it's same sex?

KRYCEK
(happy)
Kiss! Kiss!

Marita leans over to Scully and kisses her on the cheek.

KRYCEK
Tongue dude! Tongue!
(laughs) If it's opposite
sex, must use tongue!

Scully looks at Marita and rolls her eyes, how desperate is this guy?! She spins the bottle... oops! In between Krycek and Marita.

KRYCEK
(excited)
Take it off, Dana!
Take it off! Wooooooo!

Scully sticks her tongue out at Krycek and takes off her sock. Doggett takes the bottle and spins, it lands on Scully, Doggett leans in to Scully. Krycek and Marita look on with stupid goofy looks on their faces... how exciting! They share a simple kiss and part, smiling at each other.

Marita grabs the bottle and spins it, it lands on Doggett, he smiles at her and she leans over and kisses him gently on the lips... Krycek sits there mad and pouting.

MARITA
(to Scully/whisper)
He's got soft lips...

Krycek takes the bottle and spins it, it lands on Doggett.

KRYCEK
(mad)
What is this, the Doggett Magnet?!

He spins the bottle again and it lands on Scully, he quickly leans over and kisses her on the cheek. Within time, we see that Doggett has stripped down to his doggie boxers, Krycek to his dark green silk boxers, Marita in her white bra and underwear, Scully in her black bra and underwear, their clothes are scattered all over the living room, making us wonder if they decided to make it more interesting with a strip tease with each time they had to take off clothes. Krycek is continually spinning the bottle, like a madman.

SCULLY
(shivering)
Can we stop yet, Alex?
I'm freezing.

KRYCEK
(mad and very upset)
It's been over one and a half
hours and I still haven't been
able to kiss Marita!

DOGGETT
Maybe it's fate that you won't.

Krycek glares at him, he'll have none of that. Doggett reaches over to his chair and grabs a blanket and hands it to Marita, he then grabs a second blanket and wraps it around him and Scully. They all wait as Krycek continues to spin the bottle over and over, it even lands on Marita a few times but he doesn't notice, they all sigh heavily. Scully, getting tired, rests her head on Doggett's bare shoulder and actually falls asleep, Marita yawns really loud (as a hint).

MARITA
Alex... we're getting tired
... give up.

And with that, Krycek pounces on top of Marita after throwing the empty wine bottle across the room, knocking Mulder out... not like he'll notice tonight since he's sleeping. Krycek starts making out with Marita, further confusing Doggett of their relationship status. Krycek crawls into the sleeping bag that Marita was comfortable in... his boxers fly out, landing on Skinner's head. Marita doesn't resist Krycek... woohoo what a ride!

Doggett sits there, trying to ignore them, he looks down at Scully and lies her down. He stands up and puts on his sweatpants, then returns to Scully, kneeling by her side, holding her pajamas. He shakes her awake.

DOGGETT
(whispering)
You may want to get dressed.

She looks up to him... how dreamy... she smiles at him. Now she feels a bit embarrassed being half-naked in front of a fellow colleague and friend, he turns away as she gets changed.

SCULLY
(re: Marita & Krycek pile)
What? How? When did this happen?

DOGGETT
(whisper)
Uhh... it just kind of happened.
(beat) They are taking up all of
the sleeping bags... if you want
to sleep upstairs go ahead... I'll
take the floor.

Scully sits up on the floor, facing Doggett. There is some moaning coming from Marita and Krycek.

SCULLY
Oh no... you take your bed...
I don't want you to be uncomfortable-

Suddenly, Marita and Krycek roll over toward Doggett, they are in a love lock, they bump into him, causing him to topple right onto Scully, the two of them are now lying on the floor, Doggett on top of Scully, she laughs and he stands up and helps her to her feet.

DOGGETT
(irritated)
Don't they have any decency?

SCULLY
None at all.

Scully and Doggett give up on actually getting any kind of descent sleep that night and go into Doggett's kitchen for a few more beers, maybe that will erase from their memory the image of Marita and Krycek on Doggett's living room floor having sex, in front of Skinner and Mulder. As they sit down at the kitchen table with a bottle of wine, we slowly FADE TO BLACK.
